Watch: Lana Del Rey Drops a 14-Minute Video for "Norman F***ing Rockwell"

Lana Del Rey has just released a 14-minute cinematic piece giving visual aid to three songs off of her latest album, “Norman ____ Rockwell!.” The video, directed by sister, Chuck Grant, and edited by Lana herself has a visually vintage look, the signature stylistic choice of the artist. Tracks, “Bartender”, “Happiness is a butterfly” and “Norman ____ Rockwell!” are all compiled together to tie the albums being of a “a supremely confident declaration of self,” The Guardian writes.

“It was staggered with references from living in Hollywood and seeing so many things that didn’t look right to me, things that I never thought I’d have permission to talk about, because everyone knew and no one ever said anything,” she opens up to Billboard about the albums voice.

The piece can be described as a "mood" piece as it's an album without any particular big song. Lana told ALT's Harms, that it's more like a "turn on leave in living room," record. Most of the tracks were written in the car as that is the places that Rey feels most creative if she's driving for more than an hour.

"I am a little bit of that kind of person where I sort of need to leave the middle of the culture..to really keep my finger on the pulse of it."

Fans can expect a new project from Lana coming in 2020 that's a bit different from her previous work. The artist announced that she'll be dropping a spoken word album.
